During my studies at the Bezalel Academy I fell in love with porcelain. There is something magical about it that can't be described in words.
Porcelain has unique properties that make it a very difficult material to work with: It is a rebellious material, never completely obeying the artist. It almost has a will of its own, granting the work a special charm.
In my lighting fixtures I use the translucent properties of porcelain that are apparent under certain conditions. It can be reminiscent of frosted glass, but it has a different feel to it, more prestigious, richer, having a dazzling and unique effect.
